Artist statement

I am a visual artist dedicated to capturing fleeting moments of beauty, memory, and emotion. Through portraits, landscapes, and abstract compositions, my work seeks to preserve the essence of lived experiences and create a deep emotional connection with the viewer. I am drawn to the subtle, often overlooked details that define human expression and the natural world, using art as a way to reflect on the passage of time and the significance of these moments.
Oil painting is my primary medium, valued for its depth, richness, and ability to create seamless transitions between light and shadow. However, I also work with graphite, charcoal, acrylics, and mixed media, selecting materials that best convey the mood and narrative of each piece. My artistic process begins with careful observation, aiming not only to depict form but to capture presence and emotion. Light and darkness play a central role in my work, not only as visual contrasts but as metaphors for internal and external experiences.
Currently, my focus is on a series of portraits and landscapes that explore personal and natural beauty. I strive to make my work both visually and emotionally engaging, encouraging viewers to reflect on their own connections to nature, memory, and time. My art exists at the intersection of tradition and personal vision, bridging past and present while celebrating the timeless elements that shape our world.
