Artist Biography

Gautam is a visual and digital artist based in Toronto. He has a deep passion for capturing brief moments, emotions, and memories through his art. Whether he uses oil painting, modern techniques, or digital media, his work highlights the beauty in everyday life that is often overlooked.
He studied Visual and Digital Arts at Humber College, where he learned many different art forms, focusing on oil painting, modern methods, and traditional styles. His work is based on realism, often using light and shadow to create feelings and tell stories that are both personal and relatable.
Gautam has displayed his art at Neilson Park Creative Centre, where he exhibited alongside other artists from Toronto. One of his projects, InSitu: Lost Museum, explored the idea of being "Lost in Memories" by transforming a book, combining storytelling and visual art. He also took part in the Decament exhibition, where his art reflected on "Finding Peace in the Darkness from Lightness," a theme that still inspires his work.
Currently, he is working on a series that captures frozen moments and memories, both in people and nature. Through his portraits, landscapes, and abstract pieces, Gautam aims to connect the viewer to the emotions in his art. His work is not just about what you see, but also about how it makes you feel, turning fleeting moments into something that lasts.
